Timeless traditions in new sophisticated forms
B&I Art Studio paints Ukrainian folk ornament onto small everyday objects — glass Christmas baubles, flat wooden figures, little wooden boxes and greeting cards. The studio sums itself up in one line, the same on both of its pages: “B&I Art Studio: Custom & Collections. Quality, Family-Run. Explore Our Art!” Its Facebook cover carries a second line: “Timeless traditions in new sophisticated forms.”
The tradition is named by the studio itself. A reel showing a hand-painted Christmas card is tagged #handmade #petrykivkapainting #christmascardideas. Petrykivka painting is a Ukrainian decorative style from the settlement of Petrykivka in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, built on flower patterns and its own brush technique; UNESCO added it to the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2013.
Most of the studio's photographs are one subject done many ways: a single glass bauble hung on a cedar branch in daylight, painted with a sunflower, a red poppy, blue cornflowers or a whole garland of them, on clear, white, black and gold glass.
One photograph is taken at a market table. Wire racks hold rows of baubles and flat wooden ornaments cut as cats, a cow, a goat, a hare, an owl, a fox, birds and fish, each on a red ribbon. In front of them stand open wooden boxes with glass lids and painted floral borders, an ornament resting inside each on wood wool, and a small card with the studio's logo lies on the cloth.
The Facebook page opened on 11 October 2023. B&I Art Studio was an art-studio vendor at UAFest in 2024. On 9 April 2025 it posted “This Sunday we are going to be in Halifax!” and pointed at the Ukrainian Easter Market — an East Coast Ukrainian Association event held at the Alderney Landing Farmers' Market in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, on Sunday 13 April 2025 — having shared that association's own post of 3 April. The studio publishes no address, telephone or website, and the Facebook Shop link its Instagram bio points to no longer opens, so anything you want from it is arranged in a message on Facebook or Instagram.

The studio filmed itself painting a Christmas card and tagged the reel #petrykivkapainting.
The studio's own summary of what it does is “Custom & Collections”; individual commissions are arranged by message.

B&I Art Studio publishes no address. What its own pages do show is where it goes. On 9 April 2025 it posted that it would be in Halifax that Sunday, pointing at the East Coast Ukrainian Association's Ukrainian Easter Market, held at the Alderney Landing Farmers' Market in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, on 13 April 2025; on Facebook it follows that association together with the Ukrainian Association of Saint John, the Ukrainian Club of Moncton and What's Up New Brunswick — Ukrainian community pages in Atlantic Canada.
In 2024 the studio travelled to UAFest as an art-studio vendor. UAFest 2026 takes place on Sunday 13 September 2026, 12–6 PM, in Riverside Park, Carleton Place, Ontario, and admission is free. To find out where the studio's table will be next, ask it on Facebook or Instagram — that is where it announces its markets.

The studio's own one-line description of itself begins with the word “Custom” — “Custom & Collections” — so bespoke work is part of what it offers. What it costs and how long it takes are not published; ask the studio directly.
They were an art-studio vendor at UAFest in 2024; no source names the town that year's festival was held in. They publish no address; their own posts and the pages they follow on Facebook are Ukrainian community pages in Atlantic Canada — Halifax, Saint John and Moncton — and in April 2025 they announced they would be in Halifax.
