About
Raisa Hordiychuk — known affectionately as Mama Raisa — leads the UAFest kitchen department. The festival's own records call her the most respected Ukrainian cuisine expert in the Ottawa Valley, and describe her as its consultant and its “guardian angel”.
She volunteered with the festival in 2024, 2025 and 2026. She hosted the team's first planning session in her own sunflower garden.
