UAFEST CODE T-shirt

What if the name UAFEST could be transformed into a Ukrainian ornament? At the heart of this concept is the name itself, encoded into a geometric pattern using the principles of Ukrainian text embroidery described by Volodymyr Pidhirniak in his books on text embroidery. In that system letters can be translated into ornamental forms, so the six letters of UAFEST become a contemporary visual code — Ukrainian tradition meeting modern graphic design. The front carries the encoded name. The back reveals the values the festival is made with: Unity, Authenticity, Family, Experience, Support, Tradition. The name is encoded in the ornament; the meaning lives in the values.
